International Sports Video Contest About:In celebration of the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games in September, Zhejiang University has launched an international sports video contest that calls on college faculty, students and alumni from around the world to show their sportsmanship through short self-made videos.What we’re looking for:All sports-themed videos are welcome. Suggested content includes daily exercise, campus sports culture, unique sports events, traditional or modern sports, indigenous sports and sports competitions, etc.Awards and prizes:First prize: Two winners, RMB 7,000 prize (tax included) eachSecond prize: Three winners, RMB 3,500 prize (tax included) each Third prize: Four winners, RMB 1,500 prize (tax included) eachSome runner-up videos will be rewarded with Hangzhou Asian Games souvenirs or Zhejiang University merch.Timeline:Submission deadline: September 30, 2023, 11:59 pm (GMT+8)Result announcement: October, 2023The rules:Format: Submissions must be in MP4 or MOV format.Video Dimension: Videos must be in 16:9 (horizontal) or 9:16 (vertical) dimensions.Resolution: Videos must have a minimum resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels.Size and duration: Videos should not exceed 2GB in size and should be within 3 minutes in length.Language: While videos in any language are welcome, if your video is not in English, please include English subtitles to enhance accessibility.Award selection process:Preliminary screening → public voting → professional reviewWorks with high social media engagement will get extra points. About China-Africa Audio Visual FestivalThe China-Africa Audio Visual Festival is organized by the College of Media and International Culture and Institute of Radio, Television, and Film at Zhejiang University. Supported by the Bureau of International Cooperation at the National Radio and Television Administration, PRC, it aims to facilitate cultural interactions and form a community of film and video makers, scholars, and students who are passionate about advancing mutual understandings between China and Africa. This year, the festival will coordinate campus screenings among twenty universities and junior-high schools in China and Africa from March to May, 2023. Accepted works will be included in the festival screening list for partner schools to choose from, and selected filmmakers will be invited to participate in the post-screening Q&As and workshops. Eligibility and Requirements1. The length of audio-visual works should be between 10 to 120 minutes, including but not limited to narrative stories, documentaries, animations, and experimental videos2. The subject matter of the works should be related to African and/or Chinese culture, society or history3. All the works should include English subtitles4. World Asian Case Competition 2019The Academy of Asian Business (AAB) is pleased to announce the 2019 World Asian Business Case Competition, "How Asian Brands Soar". This is the annual case competition organized by AAB that invites college students to write up and present an exciting Asian business case on how it turned its small start into such a tremendous success. Applicants are invited from universities and colleges all around the world. Conference theme: "Creating unforgettable, lifelong experiences for students"Who: College students in teams of 2-4Focus:Asian brands that have achieved significant success and became globally powerful brands, or Asian brands that became globally renowned by serving consumers at the bottom of the pyramid.You can choose a company or brand from any Asian country or the country for which your team represents. HistoryIn the framework of strengthening the strategic plan for the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the implementation of initiatives related to the goals and objectives of the strategy, which in turn is seeking to keep up with global developments in the field of youth and sports. These were then translated into a group of youth and sports programs, to enable young people to enrich the sustainable development and competitiveness in the Kingdom. Then with directives from His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa His Majesty’s representative for Charity and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, The Nasser Bin Hamad Youth Creativity Award was launched in the year 2011 as an initiative from The General Organization for Youth and Sports (at the time).The NBH Award has sought to spark the creativity within the youth from all over the kingdom in the various fields of interest. After the strong turnout from the Bahraini youth in the first edition, doors opened in the second edition of the award for the youth in all GCC countries in 2012.The NBH Award represents Bahrain’s strong efforts and determination to give back to the youth and aid them in developing their creativity as well as skills in all six fields of the Award.
